Planet Assistant - Backup Your ZSXQ Data

What if a Knowledge Planet (ZSXQ) you've joined suddenly announces it's disbanding? The owner tells everyone to save all posts and attachments immediately. You realize there are tens of thousands of posts and thousands of files spanning several years. How do you download everything before it's gone? Clicking manually is impossible. What now?

The solution is automation. Fortunately, the Planet Assistant app was built for exactly this purpose. I originally designed it to download all posts and attachments from my own joined planets to my local computer, allowing me to use advanced local search to find what I need—because the official web search is quite limited. Furthermore, I plan to integrate local AI models (still in development at the time of writing) to train on the downloaded posts and documents, creating a private knowledge base you can query directly for high-quality answers. But first, we had to solve the download problem:

  1. Full Backups: Currently, all planet content can be downloaded in bulk. Posts are saved to a local database, and attachments (Word, PDF, etc.) are saved to local folders (see here for more info).
  2. Anti-Ban Protection: The app automatically manages download speeds, pausing periodically to prevent your account from being flagged or throttled.
  3. Pause and Resume: You can manually pause the download and resume it later, giving you full control over when the app is active.

In addition to downloading, the app offers powerful batch export features. For more details, refer to the usage guide.
