FAQ

1. Which sites are supported?

Currently, DeepRead is primarily designed for downloading and deeply reading content from WordPress sites. The current version only supports downloading article list URLs in the format https://example.com/category/your-category/. Please ensure the entered link format is correct. If you have other format requirements, please let us know.

2. What should I do if a download fails or is very slow?

  • First, reduce the number of concurrent downloads.
  • Check if the target site has rate limiting or is temporarily unavailable.
  • Download in smaller batches to avoid crawling too many articles at once.

3. What if the AI's answers are not accurate enough?

  • Narrow down the scope of your question and explicitly specify a knowledge base.
  • Add contextual constraints to your question, such as "Answer strictly based on the XX knowledge base."
  • Ask the AI to summarize relevant articles first, then follow up with specific details.

4. Will my data be uploaded to the cloud?

Downloaded articles and knowledge base files are saved locally by default. Your request content will only be sent to your specified model service provider when you actively configure and call an external model API.

5. How can I switch model services?

Currently, we only support DeepSeek, which provides excellent support for both Chinese and English with high cost-effectiveness. Support for models from other providers will be added in the future. Users who need support for other models, please contact us.

6. Can a license be used on multiple devices?

Yes, one license allows a maximum of three devices to be bound. You can view the current list of bound devices on the License Management page.

7. Can I use it offline?

Browsing, searching, and local management of downloaded articles can be done offline.

8. Why are some article images not showing?

Common reasons include:

  • The image URL on the original site is no longer valid.
  • The image has hotlinking protections.
  • Network exceptions occurred during the download process.

We recommend re-downloading the batch and checking if the local image directory is complete.
